Walter Camp for his College All American Team considered Reno V Jones, a starter for Cornell University in 1920 and 1921. Invited to the Rose Bowl the University President nixed it.

Reno, the Karl Singer of his day was so good and popular here in Niles that the city named Reno Street in his honor. Anchored the offensive and defensive line of the 1913 & 1914 Niles teams.

Russ Stein a member of Niles’ greatest Teams in 1914 as a FB. He played professionally for the Toledo Maroons, Frankford Yellow Jackets, Pottsville Maroons and the famous Canton Bulldogs

Herbert Stein in 1915 and as a Center at the University of Pittsburgh was selected All American. As with his brother Russ was a member of one of Niles', Greatest Teams in 1914.

He played professionally for Buffalo, Frankford Yellow Jackets and the Pottsville Maroons.

Paul Lally the best HB in Niles History prior to 1960 and one of the greatest ever. Set rushing and scoring records that were number one until the 60's hit. Still in the top five or top ten in many categories.

Played for Niles from 1911 to 1914.

Adrian Grainger Ford one of the greatest FB in Niles History and started at FB for Lafayette University. He played professionally for the Frankford Yellow Jackets and Pottsville Maroons.

Niles defeated Liberty, Chagrin Falls, Kent Roosevelt, Struthers, Lisbon and Barberton lost to Wooster, Girard and Warren tied Salem

John DeChristofaro a junior led Niles in scoring with 62 points of 118 points and allowed 46 points.

Niles McKinley battled Warren Harding to a 14-14 tie in Warren 1965 as a Dragon puts a quick stop to a Panther before 14,000 fans.

Fullback and Linebacker, Bob Mannella led the Dragons in tackles and assists. An All Time Niles Great started at Purdue University three years as a linebacker leading his Boilermakers in tackles and to wins over number one Notre Dame and number one Michigan. In 1975, was second in the Big 10 in pass interceptions.

1964, Niles vs. Massillon at the Akron Rubber bowl before 30,000 plus fans late in the fourth quarter the Dragons are driving on the Tigers. Massillon with a 14-8 lead gives up another first down as Dragon center/LB Bill Watterson signals the first down. Niles will fall short on the drive and the Tigers picks up the victory.
