FB at Ohio State for two years.
Paul Zorn team Co-Captain in 1942 was selected First Team All County then was selected as the captain of that team, First
Team All Ohio at the HB position. Like most youths of that time Military Service was his primary concern due to WWII.

In 1948, Joe "Butch" Willams held
down the starting LHB position and in 1949 became one of the best ever Fullbacks to play for the Red & Blue. He became
the All Time Leading Rusher for Niles McKinley up to that year and averaged a whopping 8.2 yards per carry. He and only 4
other Dragons have ended a season with more then a 8 yard per carry season.
He caught a pass from Jim Capuzzi
that went for 70-yards for a touchdown and that is the seventh longest pass play in history. He scored five consecutive touchdowns
tying John Hlay. His 80-yard kickoff return VS. Youngstown North is the ninth longest in history.

Bill Trimbur
in 1916 as a Niles player he was the team captain for Niles McKinley and played at both QB and HB. After
his playing days were over at W&J he would play semi pro ball and played against on a few occasions the great Jim Thorpe.
His son Dick Trimbur a member of the 1953-54 Red Dragon basketball team that completed the regular season 18-0 ranked 6th
in the State and finished at 23-1, holds the all time scoring for Niles and was the very first Red Dragon to attain First
Team All Ohio for basketball.

one on the All Time Rushing category up to that time.

and anchored the offensive and defensive line holding the tackle spot. He was All Trumbull County Second Team
(T) 1958, All Ohio Honorable Mention UPI (T) 1958. All Trumbull
County First Team (T) 1959, All Ohio
Honorable Mention UPI (T) 1959, All Ohio Honorable Mention AP (T) 1959, and
High School All American (T) 1959. He participated in the East /West High School All Star Football Game, Baton Rouge, Louisiana (T) 1960. He was the only Ohioan selected to that All Star Game.

Joe 'Pep' Patrone one of Niles' great guards. 1930 All Trumbull County and All Northeast Ohio Big Ten. He
played his college ball at the University of South Carolina.
